Russbacher Wasserkraft

Sustainable energy from Rußbach am Paß Gschütt

Russbacher Wasserkraft GmbH (RWT) operates a state-of-the-art small hydropower plant (SHP) in the idyllic Rußbach region on the Paß Gschütt. Our SHP currently has a peak capacity of 96 kW and generates an impressive 440,000 kWh of clean, renewable energy annually. In doing so, we actively contribute to environmental protection and the reduction of CO2 emissions.

Future-oriented expansion

We have taken on a project that can achieve an expansion of the bottleneck capacity to 289 kW and the regulated annual energy production (RAV) to 1,215,000 kWh. This expansion represents significant progress in our mission to provide sustainable energy for the region and beyond.

Energy for the community and our operations

Previously, we fed all the energy generated into the public grid, making a significant contribution to the region's energy supply. In the future, RWT Hornegger & Thor GmbH plans to use the energy produced for its own operations. This will allow us to operate even more sustainably and integrate the benefits of clean hydropower directly into our daily business.
